Chassis Adjustment Quick Reference Sheet

🔧 LOOSE HANDLING ADJUSTMENTS

Loose At Corner Entry

  1. Reduce right rear air pressure
  2. Move right rear wheel in
  3. Use narrower right rear wheel or more offset
  4. Raise chassis ride height front and rear
  5. Take out tilt (raise left side)
  6. Add right rear cross weight
  7. Use less bar split
  8. Use softer right rear bar
  9. Drive car in straighter

Loose At Mid-Corner

  1. Reduce stagger
  2. Raise ride height front and rear
  3. Use softer rebound shock valving at left front and left rear
  4. Use higher gear
  5. Take tilt out (raise left side)
  6. Raise forward end of left rear radius rod
  7. Move wing back or use more wing angle

Loose At Corner Exit

  1. Reduce stagger
  2. Raise front ride height
  3. Use higher gear
  4. Move wing back or use more wing angle
  5. Use softer rebound shock valving at right front
  6. Increase left rear cross weight
  7. Use softer right front spring rate
  8. Use softer spring rate at right front and right rear
  9. Roll into the throttle smoother

Loose At All Three Phases Of Corner

  1. Raise ride height front and rear
  2. Take out tilt (raise left side)
  3. Reduce stagger
  4. Move wing back
  5. Use softer spring rate at right front and right rear

🔒 TIGHT HANDLING ADJUSTMENTS

Tight At Corner Entry

  1. Increase right rear air pressure
  2. Move right rear wheel out
  3. Use more wheel offset at right rear
  4. Use wider right rear wheel
  5. Add tilt (lower left side)
  6. Use more bar split front and rear
  7. Use stiffer right rear torsion bar
  8. Use softer left rear and left front torsion bars
  9. Use stiffer shock rebound valving at left rear
  10. Driver can shake car loose and stab throttle

Tight At Mid Corner

  1. Increase stagger
  2. Use lower gear
  3. Lower chassis ride height
  4. Use more tilt (lower left side)
  5. Lower left rear radius rod forward end
  6. Move wing forward
  7. Use stiffer shock rebound valving left front

Tight At All Three Phases Of Corner

  1. Increase right rear air pressure
  2. Increase stagger
  3. Move wing forward
  4. Use softer left front torsion bar
  5. Move right rear wheel out

🎯 KEY ADJUSTMENT PRINCIPLES

Stagger Effects:

  • Reduce stagger for loose conditions
  • Increase stagger for tight conditions

Ride Height Effects:

  • Raise height for loose conditions
  • Lower height for tight conditions

Tilt Adjustments:

  • Remove tilt (raise left side) for loose
  • Add tilt (lower left side) for tight

Right Rear Wheel Position:

  • Move in for loose conditions
  • Move out for tight conditions
